Everything About Going Renewable — Simplified
Below are some of the most common questions our clients have. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to contact us — we’re always happy to help.
Solar panels absorb sunlight and convert it into electricity (DC). An inverter then converts that electricity into AC power for your home or business. Any excess energy can be stored in batteries or fed back into the grid (depending on your setup).
Yes — over time. While the initial investment has costs, solar systems help reduce reliance on grid electricity and lower power bills. The amount you save depends on your system size, usage patterns, and electricity rates in your area.
Most roofs are suitable, but factors matter: orientation, tilt/angle, shade, and structural strength. Even east- or west-facing roofs can be used. We’ll assess your site during consultation to design a system that suits your specific roof and needs.
If your roof is aged or in poor condition, it’s best to do maintenance or replacement first. If it’s in good shape, your system can often be installed without disruptions. We’ll inspect and advise during our site assessment.
A typical installation takes between 1 to 3 days (for residential systems). The full process — including site survey, approvals, and connection — may take several weeks, depending on local permit and utility timelines.
We partner with trusted manufacturers offering warranties for panels, inverters, and batteries (often 10–25+ years). Our installations are also backed by workmanship guarantees, ensuring quality and support.
Yes, unless you’re completely off-grid. Most systems remain connected to the grid, so you’ll receive a bill when your system is not generating enough to meet demand. But that bill will be significantly lower.
Yes — if your system includes battery storage and is designed for islanding (i.e., operating independently from the grid). Otherwise, grid-tied systems without batteries usually shut off in blackouts for safety reasons.
The payback time depends on many variables: system size, usage, local electricity rates, incentives, and solar output. For many systems, payback can occur within 5–12 years, after which you generate net savings.
Solar systems require minimal maintenance. Occasional cleaning, inspections, and keeping panels free from heavy debris or shade are often enough. We also offer monitoring and maintenance services to keep performance optimal.
